Details please.

Lego Technics set. Hundreds of parts, some of them tiny! The winch and the platfom at the back work and there is a lever that switches between them, then you turn a little wheel and they do their thing. It has rack and pinion stearing as well, and the pistons in the engine move when it drives. Took me about 12 hrs to build the thing. Just put the last 3 hours in at the dining table and now my back's killing me.

I think my brother in law, who is 55 wants me to strip it down again so he can have a go. His son, my nephew, works at the Lego head quarters here in Denmark. He has two star wars kits coming out this week in january that he designed. Good for him. He loves working there.

Flew into Billund last time I was in DK on business, but didn't get to check out any of the Lego stuff.

LEGO land is ok. Its right by Bilund airport. The kids used to love it. I'd bet they would go again and they are grown now.

I was drooling over that set at the lego store yesterday. I have an 8yr old, and twin 6 yr olds - all daughters. So there I am at the lego store with SWMBO and the kids drooling over the Death Star and the Technics sets, while we ended up going home with Lego Friends Pony Stables and Ice Cream Shop. Oh well any lego kit is better than them playing with My Little Pony ... I don't understand girl toys (and they're Ametican Girl dolls creep me out).

...at least they'll look after me when I'm old and sick.

:a16:

This was a surprise present. I gat a blade and a strop too.

Don't get me wrong; I love it when a grown man still likes his Lego, electric train or Meccano. I just couldn't resist (which is why my wife sometimes loves me and sometimes not)......

Well guys, I guess my wife is a little batty. I never mentioned I wanted any Lego. She just bought it. She knows I'm collecting shaving gear and cigars, yet I end up with Lego. Go figure!

Maybe she thought it was time you started a new collection. Still, it couldn't have hurt to discuss it first.

"You're collecting Lego now."
"Am I?"
"Yes."

It only takes five seconds.

I treat myself like a kid. For Christmas I got me a toy called a Perplexus Original. It's a maze track inside a clear plastic globe. It's a lot a fun for passing times. And I've got enough Rubik's Cubes. Also good for your brain are two burr type puzzles called Gordian's Knot and Zig Zag Knot. Keep the brain functioning and the fingers moving. Or that is what I tell myself. Also a board games freak but that's a different post.

I like the prrplexus. Looks like good fun. I and I have a couple of Rubik's cubes as too.
