My vintage Gillette razor cleaning experience

I have found that dipping a Q-tip into some of the spray on type car wax and wiping off the razor with it works well.

since automotive waxes aren't formulated for skin contact, I use metal polishes followed by washing with a 75% alcohol/25% water spray or 91% rubbing alcohol.
