I tried out the MM today. Perhaps it is my imagination but it may have even been a bit better. Not certain but maybe, just maybe. It would be by degrees though and not a big jump like it was from disposables to DE's & so on. And then I went and bought another one, a Star, on that auction site just to try it out. Good grief!

That's a nice start, the Clog-pruf is my favorite of the Micromatic family. Actually you have a Push Button, not a Contour. The Push Button came out in 1958, a few years before the Contour.

Thanks for the clarification HoosierTrooper! I had no idea the design went back into the 50's.
