My Second Purchase - Not much info

So I picked up my second antique straight razor. Looks like a Kinfolks and from what I'm finding was made by Case. Wasn't sure what I was going to find under the rust. Fortunately no pitting and just some light staining. Seems that 500 grit is slowly lifting the discoloring out. Going to keep the scales since they are in great condition as well. Paid a bit more at $20 than my $10 Böker with some pitting.

Going to go nice and slow with this one and make sure it shines up nice :)

Kinfolks wasn't made by Case, per se. The folks that started Kinfolks were members of the Case family, along with a couple dozen other cutlery companies. It was its own company with its own factory.

There's a couple videos on http://kinfolksinc.com/videos.htm that tells you some about the history of the Case family, if you want to learn some more. There's a few pages on the site with info about the various Case folks. It's a nice piece of Americana.
