What's new

My newest polishing tool!

So most of us have bought some old dirty razors. I think the parts that gives me fits when polishing is those tight corners under the plate and the knurling on the handles. I had been using q-tips, toothbrush, and microfiber. When the wife bought new toothbrushes I had an epiphany...

I submit my newest tool for your approval. My used Oral B Cross Action electric toothbrush! It got some black stains out of the knurling on a Flare Tip Rocket in 2 passes. It works perfectly!!

That's a great idea! Next time I put a new head on my electric toothbrush, I'll turn the old head into a razor-cleaning brush...

neat idea but i've not found the electric ones to be better than a plain toothbrush vigorously applied by hand.

Good work!!.. I use my old oral B electric... Just remember to change the head and don't forget which one you use to clean your razors either!!!

I do a small modification to the toothbrush head by grinding the bristles at the tip down to about half their original length. This gives a wedge shaped head that varies in its degrees of stiffness along its length.
