So I was wandering the wilds of the Internet looking at custom shaving brushes, most of which I'm better able to afford than the "established" names like Rooney, etc. and ran across Miguel Martinez at CustomK9Gear.com. After perusing the pictures in his handle album, a sudden overwhelming urge to e-mail him overtook me. A few e-mails later, I'm now the proud owner of a 50mm tall bocote handle with a 50 mm loft UK silvertip knot. This is the picture Miguel sent me when he got it done a few hours (literally) after the last of our e-mail exchange...
It's currently hanging on my brush and razor stand, waiting for its debut tomorrow morning along with a new container of Mama Bear's Czar's Choice Halloween Special soap and my uncle's 1962 Slim loaded with a 7 o'clock green blade. I can hardly wait...
I'll try to remember to post another pic once it's had a chance to bloom...
Updated: This brush has bloomed very nicely (see right pic above) even with only one shave under its belt, so to speak...
