Hello,
For some years, I've been using an injector style razor. It wasn't an official Schick, I don't believe, but I quite liked it, nonetheless.
When I returned home from a trip recently, I found that my razor was gone. Although I know where it is, there is only a 5% chance it will be sent back to me.
Being extremely sensitive skinned, and as a woman with a lot of area to cover (legs), I really loved the single blade of the injector. It never irritated my skin. It was an easy transition from holding diposable razors, but the results were vastly superior. (I had nightmares all my life with razors before the injector - due to sensitivity.) Granted, I still had trouble on the outside of my ankles, but I think that's just anatomy difficulty and not a razor fault.
The idea of a safety razor (non injector) intimidates me. It looks more like I could slice myself with one of those. Then again, I've never actually handled one -- only saw photos. Am I being silly? I've seen that Walgreen's sells the Merkur's which are often recommended for beginners.
Is the handling of a safety razor with a double edged blade different than an injector? (Describe please?)
What are my options for replacing my injector? Anything similar? Any "new" injectors for sale today? (I haven't seen any.)
In case this is going to be an expensive venture, are there any temporary disposables with single blades that you'd recommend? (Will save up for a better razor, but I really hate being fuzzy!)
Help?
Thank you.
