My Guess... 3017

Up next: Barrister and Mann Latha, generously PIF'd by a member.

Consistency is like cookie dough, and it's been scraped and placed into my dish. I measure 29g remaining as it had some use beforehand. Will be interesting to see how the softer soap handles an open bowl. The scent was very strong black licorice, but I think that faded a bit. Not my favorite, but it's very interesting. Test lathers were hit and miss until I started loading heavier, and then they were fantastic. I expect maybe two weeks of excellent shaves from this soap.

Jarick, Nice Haslinger report.

Mid month tomorrow and getting close to half way through I Coloniali. Really enjoying it. Very slick.

I could see myself 3017ing three shave preps. Haslinger, I Coloniali & Nancy Boy.

Its been a while since I have used Nancy Boy (last Sept.) but the creams last well over a year...never had one go bad. I remember it was Chris Fisher (fisherc on shavemyface) who first brought it to our attention back in 2005. Glad their still going strong 10 years later. It's the best cream I have tried...must order some.

I know they have (on occasion and when asked really nicely) shipped to Canada but that was back in the shavemyface days and in their infancy...but maybe worth a try.

Both my orders were shipped to me up here in Canada. I think they ran in to some fraud, scamming, missing parcels, no tracking issues...so blanketed the USA only shipping.

This was when I had checked or asked a year or two ago, but it is always worth asking them.

Not only that, but cross-border shipping is crazy expensive again - and much more expensive if you want tracking.

I got moves like Jagger
Second shave with the Godrej round this morning. Used my Omega 599 (silvertip Mighty Midget) instead of my B&B Essential Boar (Sue version) and still got a great lather with little effort. So far this is shaping up nicely. :thumbup1:

At best there is one more shave in the S. Maria. Enjoyed it, would probably repurchase again, but it's time to move on.

From the sabbatical passaround box I took on about 25-ish grams of Lider Original cream, and I don't recall anyone else 3017ing this. I'll try to use it over the next two weeks, followed by the last cream in the pile: Speick for Speicktember.

Now that I got my PC fixed, and I'm not constrained by Tapatalk, here is my 3017 log after finishing my first full-size, even though it's a "measly" 50g Palmolive. Not only do I love Palmolive and consider it my favorite, the price is so cheap (bought in the UK) I had to go to three decimal places! And < 1g/shave was me trying to load heavy most of the time!

My Palmolive stick is looking like it'll hold out just until the end of the month. . Then I have a Speick stick and Speick AS ready for Speicktember.

Looks like Mwf will have to wait another month before I try it.

I went through a puck of Godrej a couple of years ago. I think it's an unsung bargain in shaving soaps. The lather seems slightly less substantial than something like the Palmolive and Arko sticks, but the shaves are still great.

I think you've got some good shaves ahead of you, as you are finding out. :001_smile

Spent this weekend in Delhi. Carry on only, and had great DFS's with my Bic Single disposable and Proraso Green. Much needed as I went to the Taj and it 96 degrees with 100% humidity. I'm not sure if I've ever sweat that much in my life, but boy was it beautiful!

58 days for a bar of Mikes Natural Barbershop. The bar was about 80%, after a PIF of a chunk of it. Last bar of the same I had 30 days use. 3017ing really does teach you about your soaps.
Today I start a tube of Coates Cream Rose.

Two shaves in with the Latha and already down 6g. Not sure how much is soft soap shrinking vs usage. It's definitely slicker than Haslinger but not as protective. Not quite as forgiving to lather. I hope I get it dialed in before I run out.

That's right, I forgot about NB's short shelf life. Even creams with longer shelf lifes don't last anywhere near as long as many soaps. One of the benefits of a soap like Haslinger is that its OK to stock up on it when you run across a good deal.

Excellent point. Because I am always "well stocked" (according to LOTH), shelf life is very important.

I have this compulsion to keep ordering more (and stocking up on stuff like Haslinger's, in case they change the formula).
