I got moves like Jagger
My turn to share....

After 6 months and 2 days, My Soapy Bathman Tropical Lime is done. Bear in mind that 250g is just over 8 oz, so this was a BIG tub of soap. Would I buy again, YES to both this soap and this maker, but alas, he no longer makes shave soap.

Up next is a partial tub of Mama Bears Bay Rhum.

... and yes, that is a bite mark from when I got hungry back in 2016.

I am carrying on the 3017 duties. As I'we mentioned I attacked to Turkish More for You barber soap. It is nearly the same soap as Derby in the bowl. Palm oil powered soap. In the mid way of this soap I transferred into this bowl. Last residues will serve me some 3-4 shaves. I used other Turkish shaving product to this shave. Yuma provides a mild shave with Derby Usta (1). Jaguar 783 Boar brush's ergonomy is superb and creates lather very fast. I'we been told that this (all of Jaguar brushes) brush hairs is glued to the handle with construction mortar which is not affected by dipping into the hot water as many Turkish Barbers do. So I followed this tip any many times I dipped in the hot water and hairs did not went out.
I used Marmara Barber No 13. This is a mentholated AS like Proraso Green. I can describe the Scent like ;Proraso Green + Bergamot. The menthol effect hits and last 2 times longer.
I'll keep using other Marmara Barber product during this More for You 3017 ing stage and I'll keep you posted.
I miss using my Tabac, Cella, SV and Haslinger but I will not touch them untill I finish the MFY!!

Update Time: I've been trying to go through a rotation of five, as opposed to the more than I want to mention that I own. Out of those, the Pacific Shaving Company Single Use Minis were used up a couple weeks ago. I'm setting aside the Soap Smooth Lime Soda for now. It will return sometime next year. That leaves the Dapper Dragon Watermelon Sample, the local Artisan Brushless and the Vintage Can of Colgate Aloe. I've been working on the Dapper Dragon Since Monday and I'm Going to see it through to completion. Then I'll do the other two and then, several decades of everything else I've got in my closet, and in the cupboard, and under my bed, and...… I've already had 43 shaves from this sample and it may last a week yet. That's 50 shaves from a sample.:eek2:

Yes, I did. Started on Aug 28.

I can understand why some don't get proper lather out of MWF. They don't know how to load the brush.
Fantastic soap.
@VerbaVolant, how do you build your lather? Is it one of the options shown in the Wiki? Or some other method? What kind of brush? How do you prepare your brush? Soak, shake, squeeze? How much time do you spend loading the brush? Inquiring minds would like to know.

..how do you build your lather?
Hello Saltchuck. I build proto lather in a stainless bowl then finish it on face. About 15-30sec in the bowl and 1min on face. Start with a circular movement and finish with painting on face.
...Is it one of the options shown in the Wiki?...
Not familiar with the Wiki options, but promise to read about it.
...Or some other method?...
It is my own method, not patented, unnamed and proven only on my skin. Quite obscure, if you ask me.
...What kind of brush?...
I believe in badger hair and swear by it. In my opinion, and I stress it is only an opinion, there is nothing better than a badger brush in one of the higher grades (I am not talking Pure or anything lower than Finest). Thus, currently I use almost exclusively three brushes:
The Three Musketeers.jpg

The Three Musketeers3.jpg

24mm Fan TGN Finest knot, Simpson Commodore X2 Best, 24mm Fan TGN Silvertip knot (forgot the grade).
The Finest knot is my favorite. TGN knots grafted on Grosvenor handles.
2022 will bring other three brushes in use. Looking forward to the winter holiday when all brushes will be brought to light and they all go through an interview process, before deciding the three winners.

...How do you prepare your brush?...
Soak in warm water while shower, 5-10min. Gently squeeze.
...How much time do you spend loading the brush?...
20-30sec at aprox. 2 rotations/sec, 50% knot splay, always gentle.

I bloom soaps for the first 10-15 shaves. Which is about half of their miserable life.
Start loading with about one teaspoon of warm water on the soap, water that instantaneously ends up inside the knot due to capillary action. I add drips of water while loading.

To me, shaving is never a rigorous scientific process.

Oh, forgot to mention, that MWF/Kent is an outstanding soap. Shaving with this lather is almost impossible to nick yourself. That slick.

I hope that answers all your questions.

Et Voila !!! Another kill... More for You Barber soap eventually finished. Now I will start to use Tabac - Cella - Haslinger - Maca Root(Cream) and time to time SV Cosmo and SV 70's.
I will continue to pick some other shaving stuff near to end and finish, like Proraso Green AS, Marmara Barber No 13 travel bottle. But I confess I miss (Tabac soap + Tabac AS) or (SV Cosmo + tabac craftsman) combo's.
