My Guess... 3017

Another 5 shaves with the Cremo and I'm calling it. I had seen places where guys were getting it to lather, but I just can't get anything particularly enjoyable with a brush. Did a final shave this morning per the directions using my fingers and working some water into it, which worked fine, but not something I'm really interested in doing regularly. While it's nice that the cream is readily available, I personally enjoy using Barbasol more and would pick that up in a pinch while traveling before the Cremo.

Wife took the cream into the shower for her shaves now at she enjoyed the scent.

After much thought

Something light and easy, a vintage-ish Williams. Not a big time commitment and going to give me some nice tallow lathers.

Glen Rock NJ era, last of the good from around 2000 I think

Love me some vintage Williams! That'll be a treat.

Can someone on here give me some idea of how long it takes to 3017 a tub of Stirling soap? Thanks.

Looking in my own log, I very consistently average around 2g per shave with Stirling. A refill puck lasts me around 2.5 months and their full tubs around 3.5 months on average.

Bayolea is finished. 98 shaves. Really seemed to have to load this heavily, and even then got the best shaves after I grated it. I have a puck of Pens Sartorial that I will eventually use, but I don't see me buying any more, though they may not even be making it in 2030! As I had mentioned a couple months ago, for the last 2+ years I've been doing a modified 3017. I joined the 3017 movement in 2012, and by early 2018 was getting tired of using the same soap for 4 or more months at a time, so picked a small group and rotated every couple of months. Still had all the benefits but worked better for me. Now I'm back to the Valobra soft soap. Head and shoulders above the Bayolea.

I was under the impression that Bayolea and Sartorial soaps had different formulas, and that Sartorial won for performance. I have a once-used puck of it in the box, and will probably put it to work in 2021.

That I am planning on soaps to use a year in advance tells you what a lost cause I am On so many levels.

@strop I admire your resolve with Bayolea. Mine went to the shower in 2017, and became a really expensive bath soap. The scent was really good. The performance was ... well, way below expectations.
At least I still have the bowl. And my wife keeps her bric-a-brac in the sturdy outer box.

Bob, I didn't recall that. If that's the case, I may use it sooner rather than later since I do like the scent. And I must be a lost cause, since I'm thinking at least as far as 2022!

Haha.. My brick of Vitos is likely to last me until 2022... The 58 other soaps in the queue will take awhile (too afraid to predict a year)

I am truly a lost cause.

I had the most wonderful cold water shave with LEA menthol cream this morning. Just wanted to reiterate how much I like this product. It’s performance is excellent for me, I enjoy the scent, and it leaves me with a great post shave feel. Great stuff!

I think I am half way through ABB Principe Real one month in with a couple of days away with a LEA stick. Really enjoyable cream. Strong point is the scent which is great for summertime. I think I have to continue to go after the creams I have stocked up. I am thinking about another Portuguese cream next...maybe a budget cream...in a smallish tube...
