My Granddad's Razor

Just a few days ago I was talking to my 89 year old Granny on the phone, and I happened to mention to her that I had just taken up shaving with a safety razor.

She is really more like my mother since she pretty much raised me.

Anyway, she told me that she still has my Granddad's razor and is going to give it to me the next time I come by.

I recall very little about it, but i do know that it is the first razor I ever shaved with when I was 12, 31 years ago.


It's going to be pretty cool to lather up and shave with that razor.

I will post pictures as soon as I get it.

I have the axe he packed coon hunting hanging on my office wall, and this razor will be a nice connection to the old fellow.

He left the Missouri Ozarks in the 30's after a Saturday night gun fight at a barn dance, and ended up in the Oklahoma hills.

He was twenty years my Granny's senior, and a man with the bark on.
