My Four Restorations

I bought three Eveready handles on BST a couple of weeks ago (Thanks to shavervinnie, bonus thanks for throwing in the Personna Med blades) so I can give brush restoration a try. Here's what came out. Hope you guys like:

Kingsley brush handle w/a TGN Finest 22mm Fan knot. This was my first brush that I bought. The original know was pure badger and was too floppy.
Eveready K40 w/a TGN Finest 22mm bulb knot

Eveready 100 w/a TGN Finest 24mm Fan knot
Evereadt 150 w/a TGN Finest 24mm Bulb knot.

Here's the final product. I ended up swapping the knots on the ER 100 & ER 150 from the previous pic. The loft on the Kingsley ended up at 49mm (This is probably going to be my travel brush). The other three are at 51mm. I used the 100 last night and I gotta say I'm drinking the TGN Finest kool-aid. Plenty of backbone for soaps but not scritchy at all. I'll try to post some post lather pics today but I won't have one for the 150 since my uncle chose that one as part of his Father's day gift package.

I bet it was intensive. The idea is simple (take knot out, clean hole, set new loft) but it takes time. That's why I've never done it. But it looks like it was worth it.

That 100 is nice! I'm with hig in that I've never seen one with a black bottom half like that, but it looks really good.

I was not a fan of the C40/150 handles before, but the restored ones on this forum are slowly changing my mind.

Something about them with a brand new knot makes them really pop. That's why I was a little sad when my uncle picked that one.
