My first year with an Injector

Next month will be one year using an I-2. Before that, I was getting irregular shaves with a DE (probably lack of consistent technique) and was using an alum block quite a lot. Since last June, I've had smooth as silk shaves with next to no drama.

Every now and then I think I'm missing something and pick up my DE and try to shave with it. I immediately remember why I stopped using them. If you're familiar with motorcycles, the injectors are like the Suzuki V-Strom 650's: nothing stylish, elegant or soul-stirring, but are a reliably good machine with no drama.

I was impressed with the Injector as a noob, seemed easier than expected. Still love the DE's especially the heavier ones. Quite a contrast but that's the great thing about wet shaving.

Congrats Colin, I too am a fan of my Schick's but I don't know if I could use only 1 for an entire year.

I'm at about the same time period using SEs and the injectors. My Hydro-Magic is now my overall favorite razor. It just never bites me, causes burn...and it cleans my face superbly. Plus it looks very classy I think.

My other razors are out of sight because I never use them. The Hydro-Magic is my go-to razor at home, and I have a G for traveling (so I don't run the risk of losing my I-2).

i got a schick injector myself, been using for 2 weeks now. it's just too easy to use!

i feel bad for my other DE's they might not get used for a while.
