My first Simpson Ehsan or Duke.......

Hi gents.
I want to try for my first Simpson brush I want buy something like Ehsan or Duke 3 some one have any opinions of these brushes.

What's the best for you?

I want the brush specially for make face lather with soaps and also creams ocasionally.

Regards.

Daniel.

I like my Ehsan. Face lathers great with my soaps. And I used it with a cream for the first time couple of nights ago. And it had no problems face lathering TOBS Avocado. The handle is very comfortable for me. No experience with a Duke but I have a CH1 on the way.

I vote Duke 2 in Best, GREAT brush. Very dense, got a nice amount of backbone and scrub. Way more comfortable handle than a CH1. Love that thing!

Hunter you should give your CH1 a new home if you don't like it. You still have my addy right?:001_smile

The Ehsan to me, feels like it's scrubbing my face clean off. I'm really not a big fan, but I'll continue to give it a chance. I love the look of it!

My Duke 2 is by far and away the best brush I've ever picked up, and it was made for face lathering creams or soaps effortlessly. It's scrubby, but not scritchy. Dense, but not a lather hog. To me, it's just right.

I'm watching this thread with incredible interest. I too am very intrigued by the Eshan and the Duke. Any comment on the softness of the tips?

There is quite a bit of variation in the Simpson two-band hair. I've got a PJ2 two-bander that sounds just like the brush thanks is describing, but my Ehsan is very soft. Seriously, the difference is pretty much night and day, to me.

@ the OP - you can't go wrong with either brush, both are phenomenal.

I saw your post in the SOTD thread. I'm kind of upset that I spent $115 on a brush and got a crap draw due to bad luck. I'm hoping that it breaks in at least a little bit more before I do decide to sell it. I'm not totally unhappy with the Ehsan even with it being very scritchy. The thing is a serious lather machine with soaps or creams, and even with it's bulbous shape makes for one heck of a face latherer. I just vastly prefer the experience of my Duke 2. I cleaned my Ehsan with dish soap and a diluted vinegar bath earlier today, so hopefully that helps it break in a little better. I was in love with my Duke 2 before I gave it a similar cleaning, and post cleaning it was even more incredible.
