What's new

My first shave with my new Dehaven SE razor.

I broke out the Dehaven I bought last night for it's first test run. 1st pass wtg smooth as silk. 2nd pass atg again very smooth. Before going for the 3rd pass I started to spread the Bigelow cream and I just about fell over from the pain. I think the 2nd pass got me so close the menthol in the shave cream burnt like my face like it was on fire. I quit after the 2nd pass expecting to see bumps galore but there were none. I rinsed with water and the water actually hurt my face I felt like my skin was ripped off but not a single cut. After a good wet I felt my face and could not believe it. My face felt like my Granddaughters face perfectly smooth so smooth my fingers were sticking to my face. I received my #1 best shave tonight since staring the wet shaving. Unfortunately my sensitive skin cannot take this kind of burn everynight, this razor should be called the straight on a stick. I am 30 minutes past the shave now and my face is bump free but feels like all of the skin has been removed. Anyone else ever have this experience getting a perfect no blood no bump shave but so close it hurts?

My god, look at the blade exposure on that thing! I can relate to the shave you're describing, though. Once your face stops hurting and you run your hand along your cheeks you realize, "Hey, I did a pretty good job."

That looks super aggresive and very stylish, but my face was the same the first time that i used the mmoc and thats not a problem anymore.
Give your other milder razors a try for a few days to let you face recover, then have another go as that little beauty is to nice not to use.

Just my 2p
