Well, I received a W&B last week and decided to use it as my first restore project.

The horn scales would likely have been salvageable by someone with the experience, but I decided to make new scales. I also only did a little cleaning of the blade, did not try to bring it back to a mirror finish, as it was I lost some of the etching on the blade.
After
I can see that I will need to work on getting the scales more evenly built, and really need to work on doing inlays if I want to continue down that avenue. Overall I am happy with how it turned out, especially since it is just for me
