My first restoration

Saw this straight on eBay. Made a ridiculously low offer and they accepted. Amount I paid barely pays shipping.

But it's a Jones Mfg. Blade and my last name is Jones.

From what I've gathered the first step is to sand it with wet/dry sandpaper...400, 800, 1500 (alternating directions), then polish (by hand or Dremel).

Is that correct?

Yes that would work.
You can even start with lower grit on this one.
Where to stop is your choice.
If ending with 2000# you may find polishing not needed.
You may even be happy with 400# and no polishing or not...
