My First Frameback ( with a Pic)

I had to hone this one ahead of a long list that I am working on. I have wanted to shave with one of these for a while now. I was not let down by its shave. Two passes and I could have called it a day... but I went for an ATG.
No weepers nor razor burn...just a a DFS. This one will be in my rotation for a while....It has a cool looking Damascus blade that really honed up sharp, IMO.

Very nice indeed! Congrats.

Thank you my friend, As I recall, I paid more for that vintage bottle of 'Floid' than the razor ? But. I love the shave this Frameback gave me ! Almost as close as my Feather SS Kamisori ! Do you feel there is any point in getting a C-NAT 12000 if I have a Naniwa 12000 ? I want to try a C-Nat but don't want to waste money, YKWIM...

Very nice razor. I had the pleasure of honing one and test shaving with it, wonderful shaver.

I am not sure. I use lapping films to hone my razors. You might want to pose the question in the honing sub forum. I don't know if you use pastes or diamond sprays; I have read good things about them. A few members use them after the 12000.

Thanks guys,
I polished the edge a little more yesterday and shaved with it again last night.
It just gets better and better. Two passes and a touch up and I was done.
A joy to shave with, IMO

I use Crox. I have heard that C-nat 12k stone grit can vary.
For example, some are probably 12k, some less and some more than 12k. It is the more than 12k gamble for the cheap cost that will probably have one in the mail soon. :)

Anyone ever try one of these ?

I am just in the process of finishing up a Joseph Elliot frameback that I already know will become my goto razor. The graceful lines of both blade and scale appeal to me more than almost any other razor I have owned. Yours looks great in Damascus.
