My first attempt of re-scaling

Hello gents,
I hope all of you here are doing well this hard time.

Recently, I got a new razor and there was no friction between the scale and the blade at all, so I decided to re-scaling for this new commer.

I don't have any power tools at all, so I had to do all the work by hand.
It took a lot of time, but it was a satisfying result for the first attempt.

Pinning with a hammer was the most difficult and frightening step. It might ruin all former efforts and this beautiful razor.
It looks I got lucky and hit the right spot.

Hope you like it.

That's super cool! Can you explain the process? How did you cut the acrylic by hand, with a coping saw?
Thanks!
The material I used is not an acrylic , but an cellulose acetate sheet.
Cellulose acetate is softer than acrylic and is often used as a frame for glasses.
Roughly cut the sheet in shape, I finished it with a file and sandpaper.

I think I know the material, having worn eye glasses for more than 50 years, but I cannot imagine sanding it to such a fine state. Absolutely beautiful my friend. If you hadn't mentioned it was your first attempt, I would bet most of us would think that you were an old hand! Bravo!
