My Finest Shave to Date!

and it was coming off my worse shave to date. Briefly my worse shave to date was with a merkur futur which i had much difficulty maneuvering and all in all it was my most unpleasant DE wet shave to date.I decided to put the futur down for a bit but wanting to try another adjustable I used a 60's Gillette Slim Adjustable I recently picked up and did a minor cleaning/restore on. I used it with a VDH blade, proraso menthol and eucalyptus soap (not cream), Omega 10065 boar brush, mug lathered. 3 passes, WTG/XTG/ATG, settings 5/5/2 respectively. All I can say is wow. I think it may be quite some time before I pick up that futur if ever again. This was the best, most satisfying shave I have experienced. Just wanted to share and thank the people who, whether you know it or not, have helped me out so much with everything from razor cleaning and restoration, to soap, brush and blade choice, to form. I think this will be my go to set up for quite some time!!
