What's new

My Christmas Gift

Well, what a year we've had! I must say, I've met some incredible friends, yes, friends on this here little corner of the internet. It's been a frustrating year for me and my family in many ways. But, every family has their ups and downs. I'm thankful I have friends to come here and vent to. I got news that my cousin lost his job the other day. It's always something lately. But, let's spread good cheer! Yes, challenges have come to us all at some point or another. I want to give something that may bring someone cheer.

Truth be told, I would love to give every single member here something for Christmas. I truly get great joy in giving. I do apologize, I only have one gift.

I'm going to offer up a shave ready straight from my collection along with a strop. I'll try to find you a puck of soap to go in there too. I'm pretty partial to my straights so this is a first to me :). But, I was given my first straight from a dear friend and hope to pass the torch, so to speak.

Let us also remember our SCS friends during this time of year. Spread some good cheer to those among you and cherish each moment.

So, the rules of this PIF:

Love those around you. Tell that member you've connected with thank you. Slow down and be patient in your life. No need to post here what you've done. I am going to choose a winner at random.

So, folks, Merry Christmas! or Happy Hannakuh! or Happy Kwanza! or Feliz Navidad! Whatever you celebrate, let it be a glorious one.

Now, good luck to all! Just post here if you're interested.

I would like to throw my hat in the ring. It has been a up/down year in our family as well and I only hope that things get better. It has been fun reading all the great things everyone has to say (although I am concerned about your mamacita comment, Rick). :w00t: B&B has been a blessing to us all.

Awesome PIF Mr. Boone. I do not own a straight nor have I tried one. Count me in.

Thanks

Mighty kind of ye, sir! Please count me in, I've been tempted to try a straight shave for a little while now.

This time of year often brings out a lot of goodness in people. It's always there, I know, but sometimes it just gets a little dusty in the corner. I plan to keep the dust off mine for the upcoming year and exercise my good nature.

Cheers!

This is a mighty fine PIF, and a huge MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, rickboone1!:thumbup1:

I have yet to have the opportunity to try a straight, so put my name in the interwebs hat, if you would please, Kind Sir!:001_smile

This time of year is always rough. I have brothers and sisters in my union who have been without work for 2 plus years!! Rough times, but they also highlight the greatness of the human spirit, love one another everyday!! Peace be with you my friends!

Lets hope we all bounce back in the new year better then ever.

Amazing thoughts. Amazing wishes. Amazing PIF!

I would like to second those wishes for a most Happy of Holiday Seasons to everyone here at B&B.

Thanks to the generosity of another member (thanks Jay!), I will soon start the journey of trying my first straight, so I'll bow out of this PIF, awesome as it is.

Great seintiments, rickboone1! It's important to let those we love how much we do love them, and also important to explicitly give thanks to our friends. Thank you very much for your wonderful offer, and I would be honored to be considered.

Well done Rickboon. I've got my straight shaving equipment so count me out. I think I understand where you are coming from and couldn't agree more.

Again. . . .well done.
