My brushes journey from auction to Rudy Vey

I won this brush in an auction along with an Old Spice mug. I really just wanted the mug because I got it for a great price and you couldn't really even see much about the brush in the picture.

I got the brush and it was in great shape and even had the original knot which was in great shape too, it just happened to be a bit to thin and sparse for my tastes.

So, I sent the brush to Rudy Vey and he worked his magic. I've included a picture of the original, the one Rudy sent after he finished putting in the new knot, and my own pictures of it after a couple of washings and my use of it for this morning's shave.

What caused the degradation to the quality of the printing on the side of the base? Did that happen during restoration?

That was my fault. I tossed it into some barbicide for a few minutes and some of the lettering came off. It was nothing that happened during the restoration.

Ahhh-- the beehive has been rejuventated! Awesome!
Looks like Rudy really did a great job - that's a great handle and it's cooll to see the before and after shots...
Good luck with it - that's one sweet brush.
