I don’t know if it’s just my imagination or reality when I say that I’ve been getting my BEST shaves ever lately. I think it’s coz they’re with the R41 razor, it is a gem of an instrument. It’s solid and I like the weight of it. It handles well. I don’t find it too aggressive and I’ve never yet been cut by it. I get a BBS real quickly using it.
Surprisingly I have an open comb Cadet razor from years ago that seems more aggressive than this Muhle. BTW The Cadet label disappeared but was affiliated with Pearl razors......

A good razor helps, but don't underestimate the human element. Your skill improves and that happens without thinking about it. You have trained yourself well with that razor.

Yes I suppose I’ve developed a decent technique. That helps. I just imagined that the R41 was going to be scarier than it’s turned out to be for me. It’s a comfortable razor when I focus my attention on it during the shave.
