My Amazing West Coast Shaving/SOCAL Adventure 2013 [VERY PIC HEAVY]

As promised, here are pics from my visit to West Coast Shaving and some L.A. area highlights we visited.

I can't say enough good things about the folks at West Coast Shaving - very friendly and passionate shaving gear enthusiasts themselves. A true pleasure to stop by and visit. Highly recommended!



This is my haul. As you can see, I LOVE Bay Rum! It was great to be able to smell firsthand all these great products you've read about.

They had many samples onhand to smell and pretty much every bit of gear you've ever heard of! No cracking of seals allowed (rightfully) but you could smell and examine most products.

I think all online retailers should take note of this. A brick and mortar location that folks can visit and buy from is a huge plus. Doesn't have to be fancy - it can double as your warehouse just like WCS has done. It is INCREDIBLY helpful to see and smell these products!





Gary (another B&B member) and I. Gary took the time to pop over and meet me since he knew I was popping by. Truth be told I don't think Gary needs an excuse to visit West Coast Shaving

The Queen Mary. Wow - if you ever want to feel like you've stepped into a time machine, go visit this ship! It's easy for you to imagine a different era when onboard. I could picture going down to the shops and stores on deck and getting a proper shave from a skilled barber. Truly a step back in time!!

My cousin got married on the Queen Mary and we all stayed there the night of the wedding. It really was a unique venue--and since there was no driving...

Great pics, love the Nerd Herd bug from "Chuck" in the background of the Bat Mobile's. I really enjoyed that show and it's nice to see they're at least keeping some mementos from it alive.
