What's new

My Acquisition Disorder......Month One.

I've been wet-shaving and using a DE razor for about a month now and I felt I needed to share a picture or two "showing off" my little shave den. It's certainly not much but it does the job and I derive a little pleasure from it's use every morning. What's in it you say? The coffee mug (thrift shop find) has a melted puck of VDH Deluxe. The Col. Conk Sante Fe mug has the bay rum scent. The two shave sticks are Palmolive and Speick. Both tallow soaps I'll continue to love the rest of my life I like them so much. The razors are both Gillette products. A 57 Super Speed and a 68 Adjustable Slim. The brush is a Parker Pure Badger with Rosewood handle that does a darn good job in the lathering department. All in all I'm pretty well set of for a couple of months of usage however I still am on the lookout for a Tabac Shave Stick, Irisch Moose stick and some variety of bay rum AS. Enjoy and happy shaving!

Fine looking start. The Palmolive and Speick sticks are just as good as some of the high dollar soaps, and the Proraso cream is great too.

Yes, I'll agree it's just a start. Great thing about this hobby is that much of the gear is attainable at very reasonable prices. And if you become an active participant in forums and communities such as this one, many good folks here are more than willing to help you find things to add to you collection (thanks Superbleu!!)

I found a lot of great folks here and I hope to share and contribute just as others have.
