This is my experience with the Merkur 37g slant
So.....
I had a little liquid courage in my pursuit to try out my new birthday gift. 3 bud lights and a glass of red over about 2 1/2 hours. I wasn't completely gone but I sure did have a great buzz going. Anyways.... at the end of dinner right before the Celtics and Lakers game (which is going on now in the background) started I figured "oh what the hell" why not give the 37g a try. So, I showered, used conditioner on my face, soaked the brush and had everything ready so I could go to action after my face was all prepared.
I rushed out of the shower, lathered up, and very carefully made my first stroke... and to my surprise I was blown away right from the get go!! My six months of practice with the 38c and super speed must have come to my advantage. I had a perfect shave for wtg passes one and two The only problem I had was when I tried to push things and go atg for my final pass.
The end result was a butcher shop... Or more like the snap shot after hitting a dear on the highway with a semi truck. After the first use I would say aggressive is an understatement, however in spite of my many open wounds my discomfort is only in the hurt pride of having so many cuts. Zero razor burn or face sensitivity at all with a bbs shave!
I certainly made a mess of things tonight however that isn't going to discourage me from the "try try and try again" attitude. I know that the perfect shave will come with taming this razor!!!!!
