My 14 year old has had peach fuzz growing under his nose for a year, but recently it has gotten darker, so I have been bugging him to start shaving "the proper way". Today, I told him he needed to shave, and to my surprise (and excitement), he agreed.
I pulled a tech, supermax blade and Omega brush out of my closet, and proceeded to show him how to insert the blade, and then let him smell my various soaps and creams. He chose Mike's Hungarian Lavender (he's a chip off the old block
).
We then proceeded to his bathroom, and I explained how to soak the brush, load the brush and face lather. He did it like any 14 year old, half assed, but it was sufficient for a 2 pass shave, which was all he needed. He lathered up and proceeded to shave, very slowly with bad angles. We worked at the angle, and he finally shaved something. When finished, he rinsed and ended with witch hazel. He had one weeper, which I gleefully put alum on and watched him jump. He will probably need another shave in 3 months. That's when I give him some Pinaud Clubman and watch him howl.
