Mwf. Omg!

Awhile back I started a thread, Tabac vs. ?, http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/337983-Tabac-vs I was looking for recommendations on really great tallow-based soaps and got many suggestions. I tallied up the "votes", eliminated what I already had and what just didn't grab me and decided on a "hit list" of Mitchell's Wool Fat and Arko. Lo and behold I was able to throw in a stick of Arko onto an Amazon music order and then I stumbled onto a GREAT BST offer from a member here and got a super deal on MWF in the ceramic bowl plus two more pucks!

Well, the MWF arrived and I had to get right to it. Wow! OMG! First impressions: Love the light powdery/floral scent. After reading how some consider MWF a little finicky when it comes to lathering I was cautious. I had no problem lathering the soap and it just exploded like Tabac. The lather was slick and protective, resulting in a great shave. i have 3 shaves on the MWF and really like it. I can see it will be in the starter line up with Tabac, Cella, and Palmolive. Plus, I really think that "old-timey" ceramic bowl is very classy.

Does anyone else have the same opinion of MWF?

I definitely agree. I purchased MWF about three weeks ago and I'm completely sold on the product. I love the smell and and the post-shave feel of my skin. It will remain a regular in my rotation.

Have some on order and I can't wait to try it out. I hope it relieves some of the irritation I've had on my neck.

I'm tellin' 'ya... this a great stuff. I really think MWF equals Tabac and outperformed my expectations. Good luck with yours.

I'd love to agree, I just can't. Tabac performance just blows it away for me. And the scent was kind of nothing for me.

got my first puck of the fat a few weeks back i find it a bit of hit & miss, i'll probably tube it into shave sticks, tabac for me is a much better soap all round

MWF is my favorite of soaps or creams so far. To me, it isn't just how a soap or cream lathers, it's about how slick, protective and conditioning it is. MWF seems to meet all the requirements to me but, I haven't tried Tabac yet so the jury is still out.

I think it is a fantastic product. It was one of four soaps I took on a 3 month travel journey around the US. The other three were Arko, Cella and a LaToja stick. Hard to beat this line up and I was not bored one bit.

I just got my puck in from WCS and with that, a new Feather blade and the proraso white pre-shave my skin is in incredibly smooth and soft. I'm going to love this stuff as long as as the wife likes the smell of it.

I love it, but once my current puck runs out I plan to delay buying another. It's the only way I'll ever get to use up my other shaving creams!

It is amazing indeed. It is my best soap for sure. Haven't tried Mike's yet though. I hear it give this a run for its money

I don't have one bad thing to say about Mike's soaps. They are absolutely top-notch.

On a relative basis though, MWF is still King, mainly due to the way my skin looks and feels nicer compared to Mike's.

I shaved with Tabac last night followed up with Tabac AS followed up with Tabac AS Balm. But, I also placed another order with WCS last night that included the ceramic tub of MWF so I will soon be able to compare the two.

Also, I should be receiving 7 tins of Mikes soaps any day now. I'm looking forward to comparing all of them.

MWF is a real high quality product. I recently acquired the highly famed MdC and think the lather is as good (if not better) as the MWF lather.

The lather quality doesn't really compare to most of the other high end products. MWF is simply top-notch.
