Musgo Real price mark-up!

Hello all,

I was just on lafcony.com and saw the new prices for Musgo Real products. Some are somewhat resonable others are ridiculous.

For example, the shaving cream was $10 and is now $15, the soap went up $2, and so on. But the most ridiculous is the after-shave, it is $38.:w00t:

I did find Musgo Real soap for under $3 in Delran, NJ at A&J Seabra's Supermarket. They also have Lavanda shaving cream for $2.

That's too bad. I love the after shave but if it begins to get too much I'd be willing to part with it. The shave cream on the other hand is near necessity.

That's less than what I paid for a tube of Lavanda here... Grab some more while you can!

Are you talking about the Lavanda shave cream in the 100ml tube that was made by Ach Brito or the canned foam?. If the former, you should buy it all at $2 a pop. The cream in a tube has been out of production for a bit.

Thank your government for the continuing downward spiral of the devaluing dollar.

it's still $21 on amazon for the aftershave. is that normal? that lafcony.com site looks pretty ritzy. they have french soaps for $54 for 3 bars.

Agreed the lafcony.com prices are ridiculous, but I think that they are the importers of the Claus Porto labeled products. If so it won't suprise me that these prices will eventually be reflected elsewhere.

Who nows, they might just be marking up the prices for themselves only.

Yes, the 100ml shaving tube.

This was the first cream I used when I started wet-shaving. Very good product but haven't used it for about 2 years because I was only using Lavanda and got tired of the smell.

I might add it in to my rotation, still debating it.

I know that store! On Fairview Street, a few blocks from Rt. 130, right?

Thanks for the tip ... I'll have to swing by there and see what I can scoop up.

Nice... With that name I'm guessing that A&J Seabra's Supermarket is owned by Portuguese in NJ?

By the way, I'm guessing you are Portuguese too, if so join us at Barbear Clássico! (http://www.barbearclassico.com/)

I stopped in at Seabra's today and picked up two each of the Musgo Real soap, Lavanda soap, and Lavanda 100ml shave cream ... total investment was only $13.63 !!

You missed one other shaving gem there ... Aqua Velva in the glass bottle. I had one in my basket, but put it back after realizing that I have plenty left, and I only use it a few times a year.

If you want the AV in glass, there were two bottles left, at $4.39 ... I pushed them to the back of the shelf, and put three plastic bottles in front for someone that doesn't care, they'll grab whatever is in front.

Just went to Seabra's on my lunch break and picked up a tube of Lavanda and a bottle(glass) of Aqua Velva.

thanks dpm802 :thumbup1:

There's still one glass bottle left.

Lavanda shaving cream for $2,00?!?! Nice catch!

Gentlemen, grab it while you can, Lavanda shaving cream has been discontinued and is not produced anymore. I wonder if it will ever come back...

I started a thread on the page of Ach. Brito at Facebook. Lavanda shaving cream is a discontinued product, but maybe if many people manifest their interest on it, they manage to bring it back. Please help me to convince Ach. Brito to bring Lavanda back!

The page is in Portuguese... if you don't speak Portuguese, you can use babel fish or google translator. Or you can post in English, they will understand it anyway.

+100 That's love for fellow B&B members.

If any of you guys that can still get the lavanda SC can, I would gladly pay for shipping and a couple bucks for your troubles if you could get me 2 tubes. PM me if someone is up to the task.

Thanks!
