Muhle Silvertip Fibre- Jackpot Baby!

I can't believe how excellent this brush is. I have the 23mm and it is superb in every way. Anyone else feel this way? Or, am I simply infatuated?:001_wub:

I have two. A 19mm in a standard handle and a travel (aluminum tube).

Both are fantastic

I have a 23 mm silver tip fibre (v2) too, it is great - my favourite brush! So soft and nice but with great backbone.

I have one also. It is now my travel brush and in my regular rotation. This is one brush that both has backbone and feels great on your face.

I have a 21mm Muhle and love it. It awesome and I really like how quickly it dries. As far as the Kent Silvertex goes, I haven't tried one but I've seen a couple for sale on here and other forums. Not sure if that implies anything or not.

Can anyone describe how they compare to the ubiquitous Omega 49 (tips, backbone, splay, control, etc.)?

How do they do with face lathering?

How does how the performance compare between the 19, 21 and 23?

I've had all 3 and only kept the 23mm, it just seemed to be the sweet spot in size. All 3 are good brushes that get it done, it just comes down to size preference in my opinion.

Anyone also got the Kent Infinity Silvertex? I'd love to know how they compare.
The Kent synth is quite interesting. The fibers are soft (both wet and dry) and the backbone is substantial. It is also very dense. I tested it with MWF and several creams. It worked very well with painting motions, but did not splay easily. The fivers are comparable to Mühle.s V1 brushes (previous generation).

The overall quality seems excellent, as is the handle. With this brush, Kent has made a strong entry into the synthetic brush market, and the price point is very competitive.

This is mt set of Mühle V2 brushes.

I had one and I traded it because I wanted a larger brush. It's a very nice brush at a great price point. The people that I've seen selling it either want a bigger brush or just didn't hit it off with synthetic brushes. It's not a comment on the quality of the Kent brush.

so, you got a 23 or larger?

The Kent is a good brush for a very good price. But compared to these Mühles it's only a second winner. I have the Mühles in 21 and 25mm and I'm sure, that I will treat me a 23mm, too (but definitely not a 19mm, the 21mm is the smallest synthetic I like to have). So the Kent had to go very quickly.

The Mühles feel much more than a badger brush, and I mean a good badger with soft tips and backbone. The Kent is soft in the tips and has backbone, but does not feel like a badger. It's not splaying and face lathering in circles is not as nice as with the Mühles. If you are just doing painting strokes it's ok.

Good thoughts. Being in Germany, can you purchase the Muhle's cheaper?
