Muhle pinsel head razors

It is my understanding that the 2009 Edwin Jagger models 86, 87, and 89 all use the new Muhle Pinsel head. That appears to be the exact same head used in the 2009 Muhle R89 and R106.

Reviews on these razors gage the aggressiveness of these razors all over the map from mild to very aggressive. Is this accountable just to individual subjectivety or is there some difference in the head for different models that I am unaware of ?

I cannot say but I can tell you that I have two EJDE89's with the MP head and both shave very much like a Gillette 40's SS. The EJ's give me a closer shave with fewer passes.

I have a Muhle Pinsel Classic in Olivewood from Bestgroomingtools.com. I think it is less agressive than my Merkur HD and somewhat on par with my Fatboy set at 4 - 5. Only my opinion though.

I got a MP off eBay and could never get the blade and head aligned for a proper shave. It seemed to be poorly machined with no tight fitments anywhere in the head assembly. It was a complete waste of bucks.
