Muhle & Edwin Jagger

Hello all,

I know that alot of the Edwin Jaggers have the same head(s) as the Muhle razors. I have seen/read that there is some sort of relationship between the two(even see reference to Edwin Jagger on the Muhle site) but I don't understand completely what exactly that relationship is. I notice that the "same" razor between the two companies costs more with the Muhle name on it. Can someone explain it to me?

Edwin Jagger uses the Muhle heads on their razors.

Yes, the same heads. Ditto, to what has been previously said. By the way, I find the handle on the Muhle (R89) to be lighter than the EJ DE89 counterpart.

I didn't think that I'd like the R89 due to the lighter handle, but it gives very nice shaves.

Thank you to all who responded. With the popularity of the DE89 I thought it was a "step up" from the Muhle but after seeing the cost difference I realize that is not necessarily the case. Thank you for the feedback!
