Mud Masks

Just started using a mud mask by a company called VITAMAN. It's another start up men's skin/hair/shave company so I always fear they will go under (20 years- I've seen them come and go).

Used before today's shave and it's pretty awesome stuff. Most similar that I've found to AOS Mud Masks at bit less money. It might be better for me than the AOS.

Use it once a week and I can see the difference on my face.

If you think mud masks are too girly, that's a pity. It's a half hour of looking like Lucy and Ethel, but the results speak for themselves.

I'm fascinated by mud masks but wish I had a little more patience for them! And $32 for 50ml is a bit on the pricey side...maybe later in life lol.

Have you tried the QED French Green clay cleansing mask? If so, how does it compare to the VITAMAN?

No, and I sure as heck want to. I'd bet it's pretty good stuff and better bang for the buck. Just more work.

The AOS mud is like $65 for 5 little application vials.

The VITAMAN MUD MASQUE (note "elite" spelling) is like $38 for 150ml which seems like 12-15 applications. Maybe more.

The AOS had been the best I've ever tried, but the VITAMAN seems to be it's equal and similarly formulated. Face looks and feels great after use.

I've used a lot these men's skin products for years and see 'em come and go. Zihr and AOS seem like they're going to hang in awhile.

We'll see about VITAMAN. It's pretty good stuff from what I've tried. Found it in Barneys where an SA I've know for years recommended.

I will try the QED stuff at some point.

The money is one thing, but it's 30 minutes a week. That's gotta be less time than it took you to build your theater marquis posting signature.

I like these clay/mud masks, and normally do one each Sunday, it really is good for my face. However, I would not spend this money on it. Get yourself some French Green Clay, like from here:

A pound of this stuff lasts a long, long time. I mix mine with some Rosewater I buy for some $2.50 in the Indian store around the corner.

Its a great feeling :blushing:when the masks dries, you really feel how all the crap is pulled out of your pores.

Have you tried the California North Grapeseed mask? How does it compare with the others you mentioned?

The QED French Green Clay is $10 for a lb. It is good for about 35 masks. The stuff works very well.

LOL! Unfortunately I was asked to remove it. :thumbdown

Hmmm you may have really sold me on this one! My only question is which one should I get? Does everyone use the Green Clay or have you tried any of the others? The Rhassoul clay also sounds good!

I have been using a mask now twice a week for a couple of years and when using a good one feel the difference right away, face feels fresh and soft, well worth the effort.
