What's new

Mr. Hurricane, say hello to Mr. Tornado

The Cheddar Curtain is literally under Mother Natures wrath as I type this. Believe it or not, but I'm bunkered down underneath the stairs in my basement with my two dogs and cat.

A rediculous storm just blew through the Twin Cities area and is now moving through west central Wisconsin. My wife called from work (in the TC area) telling me to pack up the "kids" and head for the basement...she wasn't kidding! It sounds and looks like WWIV out there! (For those wondering what happened to WWIII, that took place here on the Fourth of July)

Yay thunder, go lightning...and let's not forget the always crowd pleasing hail! Woo!

Even while in the throes of Mother Nature's wrath, still time to post at B&B. Awesome! Hope everything is well!

Keep your head down, and keep us posted as you have power. Let us know when you've had the all clear.

It's 10:41pm here as I type this, and they're still covering it heavily on the local news.

It's heading right toward my old stomping grounds! Stay safe, Cory!

Will do.

As long as my internet connection holds out, I should be good since the battery in this laptop has a surprisingly good life...wait a minute--scratch that. I don't suppose that there is a little hamster running in a wheel inside the router/modem, so...yeah...here's hoping that the power doesn't go out! :001_tongu

Thanks, Don. Still a lot of lightning off to the east, but for the most part I think it has moved on past. It was pretty gnarly there for a while, but fortunately it moved through quickly.

Cory,

Glad you're ok. That storm started out my way, but missed me.

I heard that there was a funnel touchdown not far from here, but I didn't have any storm or rain.

Tornadoes scare the heck out of me.

I have a potentially apocryphal memory of being very little and in the car with my grandmother when some severe weather came up on us. We both had to scoot over to the passenger side to get the tires back on the ground.
