Most Over Rated Hot Dog

What is the most over rated hot dog?

Please don't let my opinion lead you in any way. I just don't see what all the fuss is with Nathan's. Not that there is anything wrong with them, I find them to be just as good as Hebrew National or Vienna Beef, but that's about it.

















...or maybe I'm just a little bored.

WOW! Nathan's is winning, your right , very good, but Hebrew national is great too! we have a store here called Grocery Outlet and sometimes they have Hebrew 7 pack for 2.50, expiration date is close, but that's what the freezer is for! Ball Park deli aren't bad either, they are trying to capture us wiener snobs!

Every hotdog I have had save one. Here in Canada I'm not sure if we get Hebrew National or Nathan's but there is a company out of quebec that is called Lester's. They are the official dogs for a variety of local sports teams, including the Toronto Blue Jays. I'm not much of a hotdog fan, but these things are amazing. If you are ever around here, grab a pack.

Hebrew national and Nathan's are both overrated, I prefer Nathan's over Hebrew national though and ballpark angus franks are pretty good.

I think they are pretty good. I only eat them if I happen to be at a Nathan's though. Maybe they taste better because Nathan himself is back there cooking it for me.

We get the beef franks at our local Aldi (all of their products are relabeled so you can't really tell who the vendor is), and they are surprisingly good. Almost everything there is pretty good now that I think about it. Anyhoo, I think the premium dogs are OK, but I like to find good deals. Nathan's and Hebrew Nationals are WAY overpriced! They are all made from stuff you wouldn't really eat before the processing takes place anyway, so why pay more?

EDITED TO ADD: I will pay more sometimes for Zweigle's!

Sabrett is by far the most over rated hot dog IMO. Nathans and Hebrew National are also there.

I gotta try some of these. Not sure I can get any where I live. I'll have to check next time I get to one of the bigger cities.
