most moisturizing shave soap among the following & in general?

I am looking for a soap I can use in the winter and was wondering what is the most moisturizing soap in general?

I currently have the following coming to me
GFT -
1. Coconut
2. Rose
3. Sandalwood (already own the cream and not impressed by the scent at all)
4. Almond

I currently own C&E Nomad soap and while initially I got a razor burn (i guess i did not know how to use it) - I absolutely love it.

I have tried GFT / Aqua di parma / Floris / Penhaligons creams and now I am intrigued about soaps...

I have found Mitchell's Wool Fat and Institut Karité to be the most moisturizing soaps. Though a good balm or moisturizer would be better than any soap or cream.

Yeah IK is nice too!! I find my self selling my "winter" soaps just to turn around and buy them when things get cool. I also agree, finding a nice balm would get you more bank for the buck.

MWF leaves your face feeling like you just used an Aloe based balm...or better. Problem, for some including me, is its latherability

I suggest use a soap for the shave and use a moisturizer to moisturize.

Get a tube of Cetaphil.

IMHO, it's a great way to end the shave and an excellent compliment to the premium soaps you listed (I use many of the same).

Using only a pea-sized amount it's "baby butt feel" all day.

Cella is a great moisturizing soap. Em makes a wonderful balm. Cetaphil from Walgreens works well. Currently using a Walgreen Facial Cleanser version of Cetaphil. Nice product.

Lessee here, moisturizing soaps. . .

Provence Sante.

The Wilkinson shave stick seems to work well, too.

another vote for MWF! Probably one of the top two shaving soaps in the world (if not the best).

Moisture is second to none where soaps are concerned. But some of the more experienced members will often caution you for looking for moisturizing qualities in a soap/cream. these are not generally designed to be moisturizing. A good aftershave balm can help greatly as it is designed to moisturize the skin, not protect during the shave.

It's not on your list... but if you have a Body Shop nearby pick up a tube of their shave cream. I got a couple on sale for $3/100mL and it's good stuff. Just know that the tubs and tubes they sell are a slightly different product, the tubs have an extra ingredient that aparently justifies them being $16 versus $5 for the tube.

The only downside is the scent; it's very mild and hard to identify--nothing bad but nothing you'll love.
