Both excellent smokers, I simply love morta! Good with Burleys and Latakia for me. No Ghosting. Clean, dry, cool smoke. Morta > Briar imho.

Generally not a "fold & stuff" practitioner, but this pipe kinda begs for it.
There’s a lot of good things going on with that pipe.
My 2nd morta (lightly smoked estate). Couldn't take my eyes off the brown grain and horn stem combo.

On edit: I love the horizontal grain that morta exhibits.
Morta is oak? Or is it any boggy petrified wood?
My understanding is that it is any petrified wood found at the bottom of a bog. However, the most common type of wood found in this instance is Oak.
