WOW!! You got a really stunning example. They're all individually made, so you never know exactly how they will look. The Georgetown scuttles all work very well, though. Congratulations!

Thanks! The minute I picked it out of the box, I knew I was happy with my decision.
Oh...and I nuked the water in it for 2 mins....it made the bowl scalding hot! Can't wait to try it out tomorrow.

You actually loaded the scuttle with water and nuked it? I did not realize that they were microwave safe.

I called Georgetown Pottery beforehand and they verified that they are microwave and dishwasher safe...and lead free.

Well.....that changes everything. I thought I was going to have to nuke a pyrex glass full of water and then fill the scuttle with that. Good thing my birthday is coming up in the next couple of months.
Do you think a soap puck would fit in the scuttle?

A puck would fit...but as hot as this puppy gets, you might melt the soap everyday you use it!
Very nice. It looks like the G4s have a bit more room for hot water.
I'll see if I can post a pic of my Schwarzweisskeramik that I picked up a couple of months ago. I need to get some better pics and write a review.

Used this baby this morning. 2 and a half minutes in the microwave....plenty of heat for a four pass shave plus warm lather for Kyle's prep!
Looks good Chris! My G3 is the same color. (My deck, sadly, is not.)
That really helps me make up my mind about getting one of these. Great pics, a very nice scuttle.
Great looking scuttle. You cannot go wrong with a Georgetown.

Nothing a little stain wont take care of!
I have the Georgetown scuttle and I love it. Nice hot lather for as many passes as one would want. Very easy to use and makes a great lather from either soaps or creams. I'd recommend it to anyone.
