Modified My R41

I've been using my Muhle R41 (older version) for several weeks now and love it.

When I first received it, it was way to aggressive for me. So I replaced the top plate with the plate from my EJ DE89 and this made a huge difference. Now there is slightly less blade exposed and it seems easier to use. I gave the R41 top plate to my son and he uses it on his EJ DE89 and said it gives him a closer more aggressive shave.

I initially didn't think it would make a big difference, but it apparently does.

Very timely experiment. I was just toying with this idea, except with the Fatip, which is less aggressive than the R41, but still a bit much for me.
