Does anyone know where to get an MK 33? After the 32 Paul sold me, I'm kind of hooked but since I generally like bigger blades I was thinking of getting one of these. They seem hard to get though.

Wait, did Paul sell you an MK33 or did he sell you a Heljestrand and you are looking for an MK33?

Sorry for the confusion I created. Of course the one sold to me by Paul was a 32. So, anyone knows how to get one? Do you, Paul, own all MK 33 in existence or are there any known other sources.

It makes no sense owning six of these. Five would be perfect. One for each day of the working week. No razor needed for saturday and sunday since we don't shave on weekends, do we? So, best if you sold me one!

Unfortunately they're as rare as hen's teeth. I was extremely lucky to get these on eBay on a BIN from a fella that didn't know what he was selling. I was just as lucky to get them into the country as they came from Uruguay and are all in ivory.
One comes up from time to time on the bay but you're likely to end up paying at least 500 dollars (from what I saw on the last one) and with the crazy price that the last couple of MK32's went for you'll maybe even be closer to 1000.
For info I'm only missing Saturday's blade and the space in the box is currently filled by a no. 6 - the first Helly I bought and another favourite of mine (knock down price on the bay too!).
Oh and I had my first shave with an MK No 33 honed on one of my JNATs the other day and all I can say is that it gave me a close shave, DFS closing in on BBS in two passes with a little touch-up and absolutely no irritation even with the Alum block. Now I understand why JNATs are so prized.

I would like to get one of these also... if it wasn't the difficulty of paypal.. I would have been all over that MK32...

Out of curiosity, what are the problems with paypal you encountered? I often use that paying service with no problems whatsoever.
Couldn't say but I don't think that they are as sort after as the 33's so probably less. Maybe one of our Swedish members will shed some light on the situation.Jesus Christ! I wonder how much a NOS MK134 in ivory would cost
I'm in Korea and I don't get issued a visa or mastercard... so I have to rely on selling stuff for paypal money

I've got a bunch of Mk 34s laying around, but no Mk 33s...sorry.
Okay, I have decided to hijack this thread. There is an alternative to paypal. It's Dwolla. They charge $0.25 per transaction, unless it's under ten dollars. Then it's free. You have to join to use it, which I think is the same as paypal, but I can't understand why we aren't all using this new service.
AND I want a 33.
