Mixing and Matching Puck Refills With Bowls

I know most manufacturers intend for their refills to be placed into the bowls/containers that they sell, but is their any way to tell which refill puck might fit into another bowl? For example, would another tallow puck fit reasonably well into the L'Occitane bowl and so on?

I pick the bowl I want and then use a cheese grater to make the puck fit. The grated soap can usually fit under the puck in the bowl.

Ok, I got it. If the puck doesn't fit snugly into a certain container, just grate it completely or last so that it fits well. Thanks.
