Miniature Travel razor, Meehan Germany??

I'll post pictures later when I get back to work....as I was walking out the machinist showed me a miniature travel razor. Nickel, maybe silver plated case that was no bigger than a half dollar piece. The handle was two piece and the head was an open comb full size/regular DE blade razor. On the underside of the head was simply Meehan Germany. Purple velvet interior.

Any idea what something like this is worth, common rare, etc...any history? It belonged to his grandpa and his dad simply said he would sell it and to make him an offer. Trying to gauge its value before I go in and shoot myself in the foot or royally rip someone off (being friends with my coworker I would feel bad honestly).

These German made four piece travel razors seem to be fairly common, especially open comb versions. Merkur still markets one, though typically with a plastic or leather case. Metal cased vintage ones turn up on ebay regularly and often sell for less then $20 delivered, in pristine condition. I own a couple, both cost less than $10 delivered. They are pretty decent shavers, and when stored in the case, are extremely compact. Actual manufacturer can be difficult to divine, as in the US, these are typically stamped with an obscure American importer brand name, and "Made In Germany" in English.

They're pretty common, but the quality can vary greatly.
Especially with the handle, some are very nice and others can be down right crude.
