Mineral Oil as an aftershave moisturizer?

I just purchased a 16oz bottle of mineral oil for $1.82 for my straight razor and noticed that on the list of uses it states "skin moisturizer." Has anyone tried it after their shave?

Add fragrance to mineral oil and you have baby oil. I'd be afraid it would clog my pores though.

For a short while, I used Baby oil (mineral oil with fragrance) to shave with, exclusively. It gave a rough shave, but really helped with ingrown hairs and it did really moisturize my face. Didn't clog any of my pores.

You can use mineral to lubricate the center post on a twist to open style razor and you can also use it on your face as a moisturizer. But...it's a good idea to rinse your face with water after you rub it in because if you just leave a layer of oil on your face it will attract dirt and such as you go through the day, so maybe not so good. bc

You can use any oil, essentially, as a moisturiser. Just remember to add some water/hydrosol before you apply it since the oil itself does not hydrate your skin.

As for mineral oil, it would not be my choice. Good for cleaning stuff, and cheap, but I would prefer something natural when using it as a moisturiser.
