Milord discovery - Thanks to you experts

I cleaned a razor last night that I received off the Bay in a "lot" purchase, and when I got it and looked closer, thought it was an odd looking 40's SS, but it was gold and has a wide ring on the handle. I searched and found the thread below, and now believe this razor to be a 1941 Milord. It has no notch, no endcaps, no datecode, and the wide smooth ring - in other words, it looks just like the first razor in description of the 4 Milords provided by Mr-Razor - or Achim, in this thread .

I shave with the razor this morning with a Feather blade that I got from New Orleans (thanks again!), and was amazed. I only shaved my cheeks and neck this morning, and got a 4-pass, BBS result. This razor feels a little more aggressive to me than a superspeed, and I really enjoyed it.

Thanks again to Achim, Guido, and all of the resst of you "experts" (and there are many) who share so freely of your wealth of knowledge for the rest of us to benefit from. :thumbup1:

In the old thread I show the wrong case. Here is the right one:

The Milord is a very nice shave. I have the 1947 version. But I didn't think it was very aggressive. I guess the "41 and '47 versions shave differently. I know you like the Red Tip Super Speed. How do they compare?

Hi Len. Yes, I do like the Red Tips, and I thought this Milord was pretty close to the Red Tip in aggressiveness. Much closer than a regular SS. Maybe I was just having a good morning with the razor, but I was sure surprised.

Achim, thanks for the pictures of the case. Unfortunately, mine came without the case.
