I ordered a Kent Military brush from the Kent ebay store. I read some really positive reviews. My question is: Will this brush help me to force my hair back? My hair naturally wants to go forward, so I have to use lots of products to coax it back. I am hoping that the brush will assist and reduce the need for product. Tips, tricks, comments?

When I get out of the shower, I towel dry my hair, and then grab the military brush. I brush all of my hair straight back. After my hair dries, I use a styling brush to raise the hair up a little bit. It looks good, and I don't need to use any products in it.

does your hair fight being styled back on a normal basis?
If your hair fights back from the way you're trying to style it, maybe you're wearing it in the wrong style.
Just like beards have a growth pattern, so does hair.
Seek out a good hair-stylist, and let them suggest a new look for you. They will take into account the shape of your head, your hair's growth pattern and texture, and other factors that will allow your hair to fall into place naturally.
Since this is a military brush, the hair should follow its orders.....

I brush my hair back, forward, every which way with my military brushes after a shower, but always finish with the natural direction it falls in. I don't know about keeping your hair back if it wants to be forwards, but I know my hair looks nicer, feels nicer, and cuts down my dandruff issues dramatically.

My hair is so full of cowlicks, I've only had maybe three haircuts over the span of my life that were particularly good. So, yes, *some* of my hair fights being styled.
Having never held one in my hand, military brushes look awkward to use, to be honest. Like it would be difficult to get a perfect part, etc. I just held my normal brush in my palm (not by the handle) and it makes the action of brushing...well, weird.
I might have to go by Sally's to see one.

Received my Kent brush today and must say it is marvelous! It tames my hair and has made a tremendous difference! Plus, my wife loves it.
I also received a jar of High Life medium pomade. Great stuff! Will review the pomade after a week of use.
I promised my wife no more product purchases for a couple of months.
