Milestone reached in Acquisition Disorder

Walked into Pasteur's today and walked out again without buying anything. It is the first step on the road to recovery.

Don't get too cocky - being strong for a fraction of one day doesn't mean you're cured. You have no chance. Come back to the dark side and revel in your over-supply. You might want to go on line right now and just get it over with.:wink2:

+1. I thought I was over my AD's. Now I'm on a bit of a SBAD and I feel the RAD starting again. I think the only true "cure" is to try everything...which is a lot of stuff.

Holy Cow. What a bunch of enablers!!

In the interest of full disclosure, I had one of my engineers with me who I've gotten into wet shaving though he's not in as deep as me. I offered to buy him a tube of the Proraso Red and if he didn't like it, just give it back to me. When he didn't bite, we left. I think I may ask him to be my sponsor for recovery.

Did you walk out without buying anything because you already have every shaving related thing they sell? If so... that's not so much recovery as time to find a new store.

I managed to avoid buying MdC scented and unscented shaving soap twice in the last two days.... but that's only because I couldn't figure out how to order it off the website. I sent them an email asking "HOW TO GET IT". Just because I didn't buy it.... doesn't mean I'm well. You'll be back too my friend.

I did that once at the E34th location. Unfortunately, I then continued on uptown and cleaned out their Lexington Ave location, so I didn't fare as well as you did.

I didn't buy a Wacker Gadsden the other day. But only because I didn't think my landlord would accept that as an excuse for not having rent.

Other than the vintage Gillettes I find at local antique stores, I've always bought my shaving related products sight unseen. We don't even have an AOS store near. Think about it. Tabac soap, Simpson brushes, TOBS aftershave, all bought unseen, unsniffed and unhandled. I'm afraid if I ever went into a store like Pasteur's, I'd need a truck to help carry my purchases out.

Yea....this reminds me of a recovering drug addict who hangs out with all his pothead friends for the second hand smoke...but he is getting better!

Best of luck to you, sir!

I triple dog dare you to go in there again!

+1 If i went in pasteurs they would probably call the cops on the crazy guy!!:letterk1:

I dreamt I was at Pasteur's last night, woke up with my head laying on the shelf in the closet and TOBS Lavender cream all over my ears. What does that mean? Should I be worried?
