Mild heavy razors

In my Goldilocks searching I'm looking for a razor that is about as mild as a Muhle R89, heavy and balanced as a Rockwell and under a hundred bucks. Any suggestions?

Under $100 US, I think the Merica is really really good. Others will suggest the Razorock Game Changer and Lupo. Both the GC and Lupo have a range of base plate gap offerings. I have no experience with the Green Cult.

I really liked the Green Cult 2.0. I only sold it because the Blutt with the 0.86 and 1.2 base made it redundant.

I also love the Timeless bronze 0.38 recommendation. I love mine.

After that, but at a significant cost increase, I’m not sure you can go wrong with a Lambda Athena. I know “YMMV” and all that. You see one for sale every once in a while but not often.

A used Winning would work for you. I had one and used it in rotation but sold it. I was more than happy with its quality and performance, but it was too heavy for me--about 110 grams, if I recall.

The Winning has a somewhat similar design to a Henson but the head is taller. The Merica is a bit more refined but has a somewhat similar design. Both are made by Yates.

Also food for thought: Word on the interwebs is that Yates is working on an update to the Winning. Nothing definitive yet as far as I know.

Outlander Brass maybe a good option...lots like it...Stainless also, just more doe but brass is heavier...
It still comes down to a buy and try.
Either new, or watch for your selection(s) on the FS thread.

I really like the GameChanger razors, as well as their BBS (which isn't as popular, but I like it a lot). Other stainless options under $100 would include Chinese razors (Yaqi's Sentinel and DSCosmetic's DS-AX); I like the DS-AX 1.5 although I have it in Zamak and not stainless.

For something in brass, any Fatip would also work (or Schone, which is essentially the same thing with wider open comb teeth).

Here's one:
Another option:
Excuse me, the one from WCS is basically an R89 with a steel handle
hen just get a heavier handle and match it with the R89 it already has

In my Goldilocks searching I'm looking for a razor that is (...) mild (...) heavy and balanced

Got one which could be re-homed if you're interested: RazoRock Stainless Steel Stealth Slant V4. Truly a tank, but a mild razor. I've been getting it out for SLANTember for a couple of years, but it's not a daily driver for me.

PM if you'd like to continue the conversation!
