Mike's Natural Soaps - Coconut

After our original thread convinced Mike to make this for us, I was excited to open it up and smell it today. My thoughts are that it's somewhere between a raw and toasted scent with perhaps a very slight vanilla in there. I think it's quite similar to the new TOBS coconut cream if you've tried that, but I doubt many of you have. I actually prefer it to the smell of GFT. The scent is medium-strong and lasts throughout the shave, which I really love. It's really exactly what I was hoping for. The performance is on par with his other soaps, which I find to be undeniably top tier and unique. To anyone else who has tried it, chime in!

Edit: Just wanted to say that after using Floid Blue and Nancy Boy Aftershave Balm about an hour ago, all I'm getting whiffs of right now is the coconut.

I have a tub of TOBS Coconut and the scent is amazing. If that's the scent, I think people will really enjoy the soap.

Just got mine today. Smells absolutely awesome! I haven't had a chance to try it yet though. I hope it becomes a staple as I know I'll use more.

Mine showed up today and I used it tonight. In the tin it smells like coconut ice cream. The coconut is stronger than the beloved GFT cream. Lathered on the face an earthy smell comes through, which I find common to Mike's soaps. I suspect it's one of the base ingredients. Overall this is a very good scent. I did not use an aftershave and it lingered for a long time. I'm already a fan of his soaps and this one did not disappoint me. I certainly will be stocking up Mike's is by far my favorite soap, this particular product sounds excellent. I have been waiting to try a coconut scent for a long time.

I only see fragrance on the ingredients list. My other Mike's specify EO so I assume it's FO.

I'll chime in with another quick review. The soap smells fantastic. Not overwhelming by any stretch, but not toned-down either. As an added bonus, this scent seems to linger subtly for much longer than his others. I'm 4 hours post-shave now and still catch the smell occasionally.

Same great protection and lather as with all of his other soaps. The soap is a bit darker than his others, probably due to the vanilla.

If you like coconut, you cannot go wrong with this soap!

Got my tin of coconut in today. Smells very nice, like toasted coconut. I absolutely love it. Will update after first shave.

I also got a sample from Mike...pine and cedarwood. It smells fantastic as well. Mike is awesome and this was one of the best online transactions I've ever made. Bravo Mike!

I want to piggyback this thread to thank Mike for doing what TOBS and Trumper couldn't; making a coconut soap/cream that didn't irritate my skin. Tin of mikes will be order bowl of TOBS will go on the BST.
