Mike's Bay Rum

Holy crap, dude. That's good soap!

Just got a tin sent from America. I've wobbly control on a mild case of SAD. I order of preference I'm sampling (but no expert): Palmolive, MWF, DR Harris, Muhle, MW, La Toja, and Arko (the smell; otherwise in the middle). Of all those, Palmolive is the one I reach for when I need a quick and efficient shave. I don't love the scent but don't mind it and appreciate it's ease of use.

Mike's may have topped Palmolive for ease. Without trying I just got a quick and efficient luxury shave. Awesome thick lather, smells great, quick to lather, all with minimal effort, good glide, skin not too dry even tho it's winter. Impressed right here. Got a sample of the Barbershop. Will try that next.

Mike's soaps are great. Hope the intntl shipping isn't too extreme. If you like the Bay Rum, you'll like the Barbershop.

Mike's is great stuff. I did the obverse: I bought a tin of Barbershop and am now trying a sample of Bay Rum. I really like them both! This soap really does make luxurious lather. The Barbershop and Palmolive are two of my favorites.

Just tried the Barbershop today. Great smell! Would have totally have gotten a tin of that too.

The shipping cost for 2 tins to Ireland is the best value: With shipping works out to €12 per tin. I'm ok with that for such a quality product.

The Bay Rum is very nice. The Rose Cedarwood is my favorite scent though.

Bay Rum is great, Barbershop is off the charts, and Rose Cedarwood my favorite so far. Every time I use Mike's I wonder why I even bother trying other products. Great performers, great scents, and amazing ingredients for skin care.

I just received my Bay Rum today. The scent is very good and not "clovey" to my schnozz.I've been using Mike's Lavender scented in a tin , which to me is nirvana.Bracing , refreshing great shaving soaps and his bar soaps are superb also. Enjoy!

Interesting. It just goes to show you that scent is the ultimate YMMV. I get a ton of cloves when I smell Mike's Bay Rum.

I noticed that 'saponified tallow" is listed as one of the ingredients. Can it be melted in the microwave?

I'm pretty sure it would ruin it. It's malleable as it is.

Don't forget to try the orange, cedarwood and black pepper as well. So nice!

Like Guy stated it is very malleable. In fact I turn my bars into sticks and I don't even grate them. Very east to put into any container.

All of Mike's soaps are great, but for me it's Barbershop, Orange and Bay Rum. I have a tin of Vetiver on the way so we'll see how that works out but I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
