Hello all, today, for Super Speed Saturday, I shaved with my 1962 birth year Flair Tip Super Speed, with a modern Rapira Super Stainless blade. have a great day!
Identity of Gillette Super Speed razors;
1. 1940's style 1947-1954 including Black Tip 1951-1952
2. Date codes started in 1950; for 1940's style they went from V to Z
3. Flare Tip went from 1954 code Z (1955 code A) to 1988 code I; Including Red Tip and Blue Tip 1955-1960 with the Black Handle starting in 1966 and was the only style until end of production
4. Black Handle Flare Tips reached code Z in 1979 and started with code A in 1980 then on to I in 1988

It was a DFS in two passes. These old Super Speeds are fantastic for ease of use. I really zipped right through this shave. Here's the photo-

Good Morning men, to begin with, I would like to apologize for the late posting. I intended to shave and post las night, but was unable to do so. At any rate, my Super Speed Saturday SOTD is as follows;
1952 Gillette Black Tip Super Speed ( Aluminum handle ).
1965 Canadian Gillette Blue Blade.
Proraso Blue shaving cream.
Chinese Badger hair brush.
Nivea ASB.
Avon Mesmerize cologne.
I rate this shave as a three pass BBS! These Black Tips are overlooked and underrated when it comes right down to it. This is a fine shave tool. Here's the photo-
